The paleo diet is a nutritional plan that is formed on the fact that man consumed a diet of plants and animals during the Paleolithic era. During the paleo era, early man had no reason to grow crops which gave way to an able bodied and lean person. It is only in modern times that we have switched to an agriculture based society which has made way for lazy and obese individuals.

A Paleo diet menu primarily consists of foods such as seafood, lean meats, eggs, vegetables, and fruits. The Paleo diet food list excludes dairy, refined sugars, grains, and legumes. This keeps many carbohydrate dense foods free from your system which cause bloating and weight gain.

By cutting out a macronutrient such as carbohydrates you lose a wide variety of food and the Paleo diet can begin to get stale due to eating the same foods constantly, even though you will notice many gains in your health and fitness.
