Simply Delicious Paleo Tuna Cakes EASY & CHEAP

In this video, I go through the steps to making some delicious paleo tuna cakes. They’re so easy and incredibly tasty.

These can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge or freezer. Whenever you need them just grab out a serving and cook from frozen. It’s important that you do not defrost the patties otherwise they may fall to bits.

• 210g (7 ½ Oz) can tuna
• 300g (10 ½ Oz) Sweet potato
• 1 egg
• Zest from 1 lemon
• 1/2 cup almond flour
• ½ tsp. dill
• ¼ tsp. sea salt
• ¼ tsp. black pepper
• 3-4 tsp coconut oil or olive oil

You can eat these tuna cakes alone without any extras however if you’re feeling hungry then a green salad works perfectly on the side. If you’re super hungry then sweet potato fries is the next best thing.

Quite a few condiments go well with these patties such as paleo friendly mayonnaise, tartar sauce or even a good ketchup. It just comes down to what you prefer.

Placing the patties in the fridge for 30 minutes should help them hold together when you go to fry them. However, I find these are fine without needing to place them in the fridge.

One great thing about this patty recipe is that the mix is already cooked before you fry it off. The whole point of frying is to help crisp them up and get the centre hot.
